2020-21 In-House Basketball Season

2020-21 In-House Basketball Season

There is still a lot of uncertainty, below are a few points on what an In-House season may look like this year.

IN-HOUSE (Rookie-8th grade)

Option 1:  Regular season and schedule aside from expected limitations on crowd sizes, social distancing, etc.

Option 2:  No games/leagues.  EPGBA would still hope to offer some sort of clinics opportunities as allowed by heath guidelines.

Under both options, given the current guidance from schools and health officials player registration will be limited based on expected player & coach per court limitations (ie..10 or 20 players per court).

When will In House begin? (more details available on Key Date page)

In-House 1-8th grade clinics/practices are tentatively scheduled to start October 24th.  Games & West Metro league’s start December 5th.  Rookie League starts December 7th

When will registration open?

Coming Soon!
We are still pending details with officials on the number of players/court.

What will the cost be for each In-House program?

Rookie League = $90
2nd Grade = $130
3-8th Grade = $175

What’s does EPGBA refund plan look like related to COVID?

Our EPGBA’s desire is to not take a significant financial loss if we do have to cancel prior to completion of the season. So, if we were to cancel prior to playing a full season, we would give a pro-rated refund based upon our actual total expenses we have incurred.

EPGBA COVID-19 Procedures

EPGBA has established a set of COVID-19 Procedures in connection with the EPHS 2020 COVID Facility Use Procedures. Below are the top 6 things to remember as you come to practice:

  1. If you are feeling sick, have any symptoms, getting tested, or have been in contact with someone that has tested positive – STAY home.
  2. Bring your own basketball and a filled water bottle. Water fountains will not be available in the gym.
  3. Wear a mask when entering and exiting the gym. Players may take off their face covering once the level of exertion makes it hard to wear a face covering. When done with exertion activities, players must put mask back on upon leaving the building.
  4. Arrive no more than 5 minutes early and be on time.
  5. Use the nearby hands-free sanitize stations or bring your own.
  6. Social distance on the sidelines and court when not participating in drills or scrimmages.
