EPGBA will hold Travel Tryout Tune-Up Clinics for all girls (4^th-8^th grades) interested in attending travel team tryouts for the 2010/2011 season.  EPGBA’s player development & coaching directors Chad Flies and Denny Tape will lead the girls through drills and familiarize the girls with the format that will be used during tryouts.  The cost to attend the 4 tune-up clinics is $35.00.  Register online with paypal through the website registration tab or bring check payable to EPGBA to first tune-up clinic session.

Travel and Travel Lite registration is now open for girls in grades 4 through 8.
To register, click the "Register Online" tab.
The program cost, try out dates and program comparison can be found on the home page of the"Travel" tab above. 
For people new to Travel Basketball, most of the tournaments we go to are in the metro area and surrounding cities, with only one out of town tournament.
Travel Lite is a program that offers girls travel play competition, with a shorter season.

 19th Annual Eden Prairie Girls Travel Basketball Tournament
 
Friday - Sunday, November 5, 6, 7, 2010
All games played at Eden Prairie High School
Divisions: 4 (New this year!), 5~ABC, 6~ABC, 7~ABC, 8~ABC
 
 

1.   Three games guaranteed
2.   All scorekeepers and timers provided; sanctioned officials
3.   Community based teams only
4.   Trophies for all players on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Consolation teams
5.   No full court press or zone defense for 4th, 5th, & 6th grade teams

ENTRY DEADLINE:  October 15, 2010
Any cancellation after October 22, 2010 will NOT be refunded.

 Per new EPGBA policy, “Teams are placed into brackets by the tournament directors.  The placement of teams will primarily be based upon a program’s corresponding high school section class as determined by the Minnesota State High School League (“MSHSL”).”  Teams are placed into A, B and C brackets by Tournament Directors.  If an organization feels a team should NOT apply to this policy, please contact Tournament Director with written justification by September 30th, 2010.

 *Grants available for basketball teams with limited means to participate in the EP Girls Travel Basketball Tournament at no cost.  To be considered, contact the Tournament Directory before September 30, 2010.  No more than one grant will be offered per organization and no more than one grant per grade level.  Grants to eligible teams will be awarded based on a blind drawing.
**  The organization must meet MYAS guidelines for “community based teams.”  Registrations and checks from ineligible teams will be returned.
